Howdy, I'm Adrian Aguirre Perez Lamadrid

Howdy! 

I am originally form Mexico City, Mexico, and moved to the The Woodlands, Texas, 6 years ago. I started my academic career in the Lone Star College Montgomery Honors Program, where I look care of core requirements for engineering as well as Honors courses. Through these I was given the opportunity of conducting research about various topics. Ever since I came to the US, coming to A&M had been one of my goals. Transferring here in the fall of 2021 was an incredible experience both academically and on a personal level. I have had the opportunity to learn greatly from my classes, faculty, and peers. The department of Industrial and Systems Engineering has given me a great place to learn and grow as a professional. As of today, I look forward to continue my ISEN journey at A&M and explore internship & co-op opportunities in many fields. I have interest towards entrepreneurship, supply chain management, and strategy consulting. My main post-academic goal would be to work in the consulting industry. I find interest in both the nature of the job as well as the amazing learning opportunities the work provides. One of my long-term goals would be to start my own business. I have a particular affinity to get to know the people around me, I enjoy meeting with my professors outside of the classroom and getting to see what their work and roles at the university look like. I am also thankful of the similar opportunities Alpha Pi Mu gives me, I have gotten to meet many interesting peers and industry professionals. While not at school I enjoy sports, my main ones being Golf, Soccer, and Tennis. I am passionate about traveling and learning more about other cultures through books and movies.
